Direction
By car from Adelaide you travel along South Road and enter McLaren Vale via the Adelaide to Victor Harbor Road. On weekends the Southern Expressway offers a convenient route.
Mediterranean climate, spectacular coastline and lovely swimming beaches are features of the McLaren Vale region.
McLaren Vale Township
The McLaren Vale town centre is the commercial hub of the McLaren Vale Wine Region on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The two small townships of Bellevue and Gloucester were amalgamated to form McLaren Vale. The area has a long history of wine production and is now one of the premium wine producing areas in Australia with exceptional restaurants and cafes. The main road has many friendly locals offering a taste of the region, Market 190 on the main road offers great coffee and meals; Brian's Olive Shop has everything olive including hand crafted olive wood products; Blessed Cheese has great coffee and offers a cheese and wine-matching journey across the Vale.
