Food & Wine Workshops

Adult Level Interactive

  • For Individuals (1 to 5 guests) we run Workshops on most Sundays -two sessions 11am & 1pm.
  • For groups (of 6 to 30 guests) book in any day with advance notice. 
  • Group size = Hands On Activities 6 to 12 guests; Demonstration with Tastings 12 to 30 guests.

Individuals, up to 5 guests on Sundays / or small for groups 6 to 12 guests choose any day:

11am

  • Home Made Cheese - learn hands-on making fresh cheese easily reproduced at home, eg: mozzarella, haloumi, ricotta styles - includes recipes and light lunch - $90 pp

1pm - choose one of the following

  • Bubbles! - disgorge and dosage, take home a bottle of your own Sparkling Wine / $66 pp.
  • Vineyard Walk & Wine Tasting - take the vineyard walking trail, learn how we make our wines, barrel sample tastings with the winemaker. / $22 pp
  • Olive to Oil - Visit the grove, share a hosted tasting of varietal oils, learn how we press our oil.  / $22 pp

Groups min. 10 up to 30 guests on any day:

  • Cheese Demonstration & Tasting: hosted by the cheesemaker an overview on the process of cheese-making, a demonstration making two fresh cheeses is followed by a taste of the freshly made cheeses and a glass of wine (approx 1 hour) / $33 pp
  • Competitive Wine Blending - Create your own McLaren Vale blend, desgin a wine label and judge the results while learning more about tasting, making and judging wines (duration approx 2 hours) / $44 pp

PRESS YOUR OWN OLIVE OIL

Olive Oil Press hands-on - from picking olives in the grove, washing, pressing, tasting, make your own oil to take home that day.  Includes hosted tastings and lunch with wine./ $90 pp   (June/July 2012 please enquire)

WINEMAKING - Book in now for next Vintage - 2012

Winemaker - from picking grapes, crushing, pressing, into the barrel, sampling and testing, make wine, includes lunch with wine. / $150 pp

MORE Seasonal Food & Wine Workshops available set dates or for groups of six we will tailor a day.  Some workshops are during harvests so ask about what we are making at the time you visit - seasonal variations are the norm!
