A year of winemaking
Join the Producers of McLaren Vale to make premium Shiraz wine from dry grown vines planted in 1920.
Starting in the Vineyard during the Autumn harvest in March, pick, crush and start to make wine. Get into the Cellar in April for pressing, and racking in May, time to taste and test the wine in Spring, ready to bottle in Summer, celebrate over some fine wines at our Vintage lunch the following March.
- Harvest - Pick, crush and start the wine – Sunday in March
- Cellar - Press off into Barrels – Sunday in April
- Barrels - Rack Off Gross Lees - Sunday in May
- Winemaker - Tasting, Testing, Sample with guest winemaker – Sunday in August
- Bottling – Sunday in November
- Vintage Celebration – Sunday in March (following year)
$150 per person per session 11am to 3pm -each session includes hands-on winemaking activity, display of each process, tastings, lunch with wine.Each guest attending a session has the option to purchase 1 doz wine from the Barrel - available on bottling.

- Five Sunday Workshops – each Workshop is hosted by winemakers, includes tastings – 11am to 3pm includes light lunch and wine tastings and one Celebration Lunch.
