Crystallised Rose Petals

We have an abundance of roses around the property and find many ways to bring the scent and colours into our Guest Suites and to the table.  Rose Petals set in jellies, Rose Hip Jam, buds pounded into stews, fresh petals scattered in savoury dishes and for a lovely decoration on cakes try these Crystallised Rose Petals....

1 Organic Red Rose - Petals only

1 Egg White, lightly beaten

60 grams of Caster Sugar

Brush each petal with egg white, then sprinkle with caster sugar, place on baking paper on a tray and leave overnight to dry.
